Puppies are available approximately every one to two years.

All puppies are sold on AKC Limited Registration. Please read AKC LTD Registration.  (under puppies)

Special Arrangements for full registration can be made for dogs that are being sold as conformation and/or performance prospects. All dogs being sold as conformation and/or performance prospects must carry the Snowy River prefix.

Reservations for three females and three males will be taken on each litter.   All reservations will be in order of date received.  After six reservations your name will be placed on a waiting list.

If there is no puppy available , your deposit will be refunded OR you may apply your deposit to the next litter.

You will be informed within 3 days after whelping of the number of males and females born.

Puppies will have their dewclaws removed, will receive their first set of shots and be wormed.

Puppies will be well socialized and will not be released to their new homes until nine or ten weeks of age (one or two weeks after their first vaccination).

Contract / Guarantee

We expect the puppy buyer to provide a loving, safe, environment for the puppy with proper nutrition, training and health care. We expect to be notified first if you no longer can keep your Chesapeake.

Our Guarantee to you is that at the time of breeding, both sire and dam have been certified clear of the two major genetic problems that affect this breed (hip dysplasia and progressive retinal atrophy). We also guarantee that both sire and dam or their parents carry conformation and/or performance titles. That means they conform to the breed standard and have inherited the working charactersitics so important to the Chesapeake. We guarantee that the pedigree is correct and that the puppy is registerable with the American Kennel Club.

Shipment

Puppy shipment is dependent on airline regulations. We will choose the airline with the most direct route to your location. A flat rate of $300.00 is charged for shipment anywhere in the United States.  This rate includes:  exam by a veterinarian with health certificate, 200 size dog crate and airline shipping charges. Shipping charges are the puppy buyer's expense and must be received prior to shipment. Occassionally special arrangements for shipping which involves a transfer can be made.
